Monise’s NGSE from Brazil D4480 / D2050 – January / March 2027

The project’s theme is developmental biology, as Monise is a university student specialising in this field and in fish biology. Pavia is a major university city with an internationally renowned developmental biology laboratory. Exceptionally, the head of the department welcomed Monise into her laboratory, allowing her to take part in research activities… this isn’t always possible, but thanks to our connections – Maria Laura actually graduated from that very university – we were in luck. A brief visit to the Department of Marine Biology rounded off the professional development experience. The visit to the ‘Riso Scotti’ factory, where we saw the entire laboratory process for seed and product selection, was also useful. Accommodation was with the RYE family, as her host sister is a university student in Pavia, so it was very convenient! … Even a short NGSE can be effective!!!
